He brought the warring factional states of America into a solid United States of America. He solved the problem of slavery that great leaders behind him were unable to solve. He catapulted the American political discourse even higher by moving beyond the issues that divided America and presented a long lasting vision to Americans – a vision that generations after generations of Americans could not afford to ignore.
He identified and developed common ground for American ideals, values, and experiences, and in that common ground find the courage and determination to step up to address critical challenges that face America, that day, today and the future. Today virtues statesmen still find inspiration from Abraham Lincoln.
He fought hard to develop American government to be a truly a government for every American and insulated into Americans to think concretely about political issues. And gave every American no reason to stay on the sidelines of issues that concern him or her.
