Finding the Best Caribbean Cruise
There are various cruise lines that offer Caribbean cruises. It is hard to find the best cruise to take. Each cruise line tries to offer packages with unique activities to make your cruise special and memorable. It depends upon what your interests are as to what Caribbean cruise will be best for you. let me share with you my thoughts on my favorite cruise? I have been on several cruises, but none have been more fun or offered more than Royal Caribbean’s Heart of the Caribbean cruise. This cruise is filled with activities and fun for eight days and seven nights! In my opinion it is the best Caribbean cruise.
The Heart of the Caribbean cruise travels for eight exciting days beginning in San Juan, Puerto Rico.Everyday on board or off the ship is an exciting adventure.
First you dock in Oranjestad, Aruba which is located on the southern coast. Oranjestad or “Orangetown” is the Dutch capital of this very well known city. You will enjoy the Dutch colonial architecture which is colorful and delightful. There are many scenic sights, including the California Lighthouse, that you can explore here in this city. Oranjestad also provides a snorkeling adventure along with their gorgeous beaches.
Off the Venezuelan coast at Willemstad, Curacao is where the ship will stop next. Curacao is the most populated and the largest island of the three islands referred to as the ABC Islands, or Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Though it gained autonomy from the Netherlands in 1954 there is still a strong Dutch influence in the culture and architecture. You won’t want to miss the spectacular underground lake and explore the Hato Caves in Willemstad. It is quite amazing site to see this undergound world. There is also a trolley-train tour that is enjoyable.
The next stop will be on the northeastern coast of the Caribbean at Philipsburg, Saint Maarten. This island is split into the Dutch side and the French side. On the Dutch side you can find beautiful jewelry, excellent beaches, and night festivities. The French side is well known for its clothing, shopping, and nude beaches. The duty-free boutiques make this island a favorite for so many shoppers. Here you can purchase many fine things such as art, crafts, leather goods, jewelry, and designer clothing.
Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands is the last stop for this fabualous cruise. The United States of America purchased Saint Thomas and offers so much to do and see. In this location you will find fabulous dining, great shopping, and magnificent white sandy beaches. In Saint Thomas the view of Magens Bay is stunning from Drakes Seat. You won’t want to miss that.
I’m sure you can see why I think this is the best Caribbean cruise to take. Along with the breathtaking places to visit you can enjoy the many onboard activities that will make this trip a memorable one for sure. Welcome aboard!
