In-Style Sunglasses Trends For Summer 2010
It seems as though glasses and sunglasses are becoming more and more prominent in the fashion world, as they can say such a huge amount about your own personal image.
UK fashion this summer seems heavily reliant on colours, and how your outfit matches your accessories. Particular colour trends appear to be anything that can be referred to as ‘vintage’.
So with that in mind, here are a few quick tips to using your sunglasses to make you look super stylish this summer.
Match accessories
Try and match your sunglasses to your other accessories (your shoes, bag, etc) in a way that complements the colour of your main outfit; get some good designer sunglasses. If you’ve got the money (important for this one!) and you want to look ultra-stylish this summer, get yourself a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and matching sunglasses (yes they make sunglasses now) in a retro or vintage colour for a real on trend summer look.
Go for vintage sunglasses:
Vintage really is the way to go this year and if you can get yourself some vintage sunglasses to match a vintage outfit you’ll be well on your way to looking in-style this summer. Try out some cat’s-eye sunglasses for a very current look this year, inspired by a retro style, these will go extremely well with any vintage outfit, with the added bonus of accentuating your cheekbones.
Rectangular frames:
Go for a rectangular frame this season, and to be really on trend look for a more vertical shape than horizontal for that ‘Mad Men’ inspired retro look. Notable celebrity followers of this trend include Justin Timberlake and Alyssa Milano.
Get some aviators:
Aviator sunglasses are right back on trend this year and along with the Ray Ban Wayfarer which will be a definite favourite for summer 2010 – look out for the oversized versions by Ray Ban for a particularly cool example.
