Bassey Divas
How come singers don’t have the long careers today like they used to?
Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Vera Lynn, Shirley Bassey, Barbara Streisand, Mariah Carey–All these women of pop music had long careers and were divas in the sense that they were/are highly respected and successful, but it doesn’t seem that most of the stars of today’s popular music have the same guarantee. I see too many come and go too quickly.
Oh, and how could I forget..Madonna, another diva
several reasons.
one They put out one style of music and then do not change with the demands of changing styles.
Many of them do not have TRUE talent. They rely on the sound mixers to “clean” up the sound and make them sound good.
And they do not put out quality music, it is more of a bubble gum type music, that is “radio ready” but not meant to last.
