Does anyone know where this quote came from? “If you are one of those brave souls who follow the spoor wherev?

Wherever it leads …” I read it once in some literature you encounter in school or college – so Kipling, or Hemmingway I always thought, someone like that. But now I can’t find it. Do you recognize it?

The closest I found is from A Chain of Voices by Andre Brink
