What season should I go back to, to catch up on the new Degrassi?

I’ve been watching a lot of Nickelodeon this summer and I watched the new Degrassi yesterday. While I understand the basics, I’d really like to know all about the characters. Thing is, Wikipedia says that Degrassi has 10 other seasons, and I don’t really want to go back through allllll of those. Which season should I begin with to be able to catch up with all the current characters?

Watch Season ten entitled “The boiling point” and all of the episodes of season 11 that have came out so far All the new characters were introduced there pretty much. The only other things that you might want to know is that Mr. Simpson (the principal) has been on the show since it was called degrassi high back in the 80′s and he had a step daughter named Emma who was on degrassi till season 8. Clare is Darcy’s younger sister who was on the show from season 5-7/8. and yeah they added a completely new cast after season 8 so you really won’t be missing anything, i told you all the things that you’d need to know that they don’t tell you in the boiling point =D
