Yang tai chi 108 form?
Im new to tai chi,ive been learning the wudan dao yang 5 element 8 diagram tai chi long form,i think tai chi is great,it really makes you feel great and you can feel its benefits to the body.I know that tai chi is an internal martial art or health martial art but what does the other types of tai chi do? I mean does each style like yang style and chen style do different things to the body or do they both have the same purpose? Once i have mastered this yang 108 form i want to move on to another form,like chen tai chi cannon fist
What do they do to the body? Well they all make you feel good. Look, not to discourage you, but you will NEVER “master” Yang Taiji. NEVER. One of my teacher’s masters was one of the most well regarded Yang practicioners in the world, and he said his Taiji was only 75% complete after a lifetime of practice.
It’s such a typical American viewpoint that you think you can just master one style and move on to the next like college classes. I’ve been doing Yang style for 7 years and am just barely touching on some of the fundamentals. And the thing about Taiji is, when you think you have something, it slips through your fingers and you’re back to square one.
