Why hasn’t a movie been made out of the Book of Revelation yet?
So far, I’ve seen movies made for Exodus and Genesis and the Gospels ad nauseum, but why hasn’t any movie been made yet of the BEST book in the Bible – Revelation? And I am not talking about some apocalyptic crap movie like Constantine or End of Days, I mean a movie about REVELATION?
Seriously, read the book and tell me it wouldn’t be totally awesome as a movie. Nine headed dragons? Massive warfare? Entire nations being destroyed with millions of people killed? A floating city descending from space? A whore of Babylon? This story’s got EVERYTHING.
Seriously, I am getting tired of the BS. Why hasn’t Spielberg or Bay jumped on this gold mine yet? If a movie was made out of the story of Revelation, I’d see it a million times in the theatre, and then buy it the day it comes out on DVD. Who here is with me? 
Too high a budget ($1,000 million???), too low projected audience figures. Otherwise they would have made it years ago.
On the other hand attempts have been made already at parts of it – like the ultra-low-budget Mark 4 films starting with ‘A Thief in the Night’ (there were at least four of these made). And of course ‘Left Behind’ incorporates some elements.
