Why do we give a flip a celebrities personal lives? I have nothing against them personally…if i?

…if i like thier album–i’ll buy it or if i like the movie i’ll go see or more than likely just wait for it to come out on dvd and rent it…but other than that it truly mystifies me why all the hub-bub over the mundane play by play reporting of the daily lives…wish them all well…but who gives a rip anyway? People are starving and suffering all kinds of cruelties….do we really care who’s sleeping with who or what they are wearing when they do it??? Come on…I know i can simply not tune in or read about it (save your quotes there…cause that is what i do) why waste millions on gossip rags…why not put the money to much better use???? Anyone? Anyone?

There are so many people in our society who really feel a ‘connection’ to these celebs who don’t even know their names! Why on earth would I care that Paris Hilton hit a car and left the scene unless it was MY car? Why do I care about who called who what and why? I don’t. When people stop giving a rats’ azz about stupid stuff like that and caring more about their own lives and goings on then they’ll be a lot happier….and so will I!
