Cult Horror

4 Unintentionally Hilarious Films

Filmmakers rarely set out to fail. You are risking millions of dollars of other people’s capital (sometimes your very own) in the hopes of finding a great return on your investment. Each and every so regularly, there are films that fail in such spectacular ways that they go on to develop into cult classics. This often takes place when the filmmaker sets out to make a drama, and the director doesn’t appreciate the nuances of the genre. Bad acting assists as properly. You’ve heard the phrase–&quotso poor, its beneficial!" Check out these four films if you want to laugh.

Troll two (1990)

An unqualified masterpiece of utter schlock. Directed by Claudio Fragrasso, this is widely thought to be the worst movie ever created. The film was so poor that its star Michael Stephenson designed a documentary about its cult status in the 2009 documentary Ideal Worst Film. There are no trolls in this movie, just badly constructed goblins. The producers connected it with the 1st Troll movie to bring in a constructed-in audience, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with the very first 1. Stephenson’s &quotOh My God" speech has more than a million hits on Youtube.

On Deadly Ground (1994)

This film wins the award for most over the top acting. Michael Caine provides an explosive forced performance and R. Lee Ermey, the drill seargent from Full Metal Jacket offers an over-the-top &quotthis guy is a professional" speech when referring to Seagal’s character. With John C. McGinley of Scrubs fame, screaming his lines and Steven Seagal playing an environmental activist out to destroy an oil refinery, this is a contemporary bathroom vanitiesporary bathroom vanities project at its worst. The best scene is Seagal playing the hand slap game whilst beating the shit out of Mike Starr. Cue in the cheesy music and Seagal uttering the gem line, &quotWhat does it take to alter the essence of a man?" The funniest portion is that he was possibly critical when he said it.

The Room (2003)

This film is a disaster of epic proportions, dubbed the &quotCitizen Kane of worst movies." Tommy Wiseau’s $6 million dollar self-financed function film is 1 of the most amateurish feature film debuts ever. The acting is so atrocious that budding thespians really should study it on how NOT to act. Wiseau’s stilted delivery is hilarious and he throws a football around in 1 scene since he couldn’t figure out how to direct his actors. Subplots and characters are introduced and abandoned. Watching this film stoned could send you straight to the emergency room with severe stomach pains brought on by extreme laughter. The film has gained a cult following related to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with midnight screenings and fans throwing spoons at the screen. Memorable lines–&quotOh Hi Mark!" and &quotYou are tearing me apart Lisa!"

Cliffhanger (1993)

When you hear lines like &quotDamn you Walker!" spoken by John Lithgow and &quotLet her Go!" spoken with unbridled conviction by Sylvester Stallone, you know you’ll get pleasure from this ridiculous ride. There’s plenty of melodramatic overacting and unrealistic action scenes in this flick. A great slow motion scene of Michael Roker, screaming &quotNOOOO! This man never hurt anybody!" after his mentor is killed has been identified to send unsuspecting viewers into dangerous, uncontrollable laughing fits.

Aspiring filmmakers can find out a lot from unintentionally hilarious films. This list can give you hours of entertainment. Bad acting, cliched dialogue, poor path, nonsensical plots, and sloppy production values are all trademarks of bad films.
