Day Care

Day Care? when do one need to start looking for one?
I am 15 weeks pregnant. I live in the tristate suburban area. I am planning to resume my job about 4 months after the baby will be born. I heard day cares have limited capacity for infants and have longer wait times… any idea how soon one needs to start looking for a day care?
I started around then. The best advice I can give you is to go on your states department of public safety website. They usually have a link that posts the inspections of all the daycares in your area. We chose one with no violations and then checked it again right before we were going to use it. Many daycares have a waiting list so call them in advance and tell them your due date and when you will be leaving the baby. We did all this hard work and then decided I was going to stay home. Good Luck.

Essential George Gershwin $9.93 Given his seemingly effortless ability at melding such disparate forms as jazz and gospel with his own rare melodic gifts, it’s not hard to view George Gershwin as America’s first classical crossover artist. But as this glorious, 41-track double-disc introduction to Gershwin’s epochal repertoire quickly demonstrates, that assessment woefully shortchanges the sheer grandeur of “Rhapsody in Blue” or… |

Once Again $3.93 It takes guts, if not outright egomania, to abandon your given surname and adopt a loaded one like Legend, but the former John Stephens must have sensed that loftiness would one day be his calling card: Once Again, the follow-up to the Grammy-gobbling, platinum pile-on that was Get Lifted, surpasses expectations. Not that it bears much relation to its predecessor. Again again trots out a stable of… |

Daddy Day Care [VHS] $2.30 There are some good laughs to be found in Daddy Day Care, especially if you’re a preschooler with energy to burn. This romper-room comedy shamelessly exploits its high concept idea–dropping Eddie Murphy into a seething den of rugrats–but kids will have plenty of vicarious fun as Murphy and his fellow laid-off colleague (Jeff Garlin) battle unemployment by opening a day-care center in Eddie’s hom… |
