Know More About Escape The Fate
When you think of today’s top hardcore rock bands, Escape the Fate quickly springs into mind. With three top selling music albums under their name, they have taken the world of post-hardcore and punk music by storm. Slowly but surely they have been gaining more fans as their brand of music continously spread. As a sign of this, even skeleton gloves has increased in fame recently because of the band.
Escape the Fate is often categorized as a post-hardcore band. What exactly is post-hardcore music? It is actually a deviation, although not too much, from the popular hardcore music genre. However it also got a mix of other music influences such as experimental rock and punk rock. To some people, they actually find it hard to further differentiate post-hardcore from these other influences.
Formed in 2004 in Nevada, Escape the Fate had the following original members: Ronnie Radke on vocals, Omar Espinosa on rhythm guitar, Bryan Monte Money on lead guitar, Robert Ortize on drums and Max Green on bass guitar.
However, the band experienced some personal problems that led to the replacement of some of its members.
For example, Ronnie Radke was sentenced into prison prompting his departure from the band. He was immediately replaced by Craig Mabbitt.
He was followed by Carson Allen, their one-time keyboardist. Allen left them to join On The Last Day.
It was their rhythm guitarist, Omar Espinosa, who followed suit in 2007. He did not specify the exact circumstances on why he left, citing only his personal problems.
To say the least, it is only a normal thing for any band to lose and gain members over a period of time. The only difference is that Escape the Fate experienced these ups and downs during the so far short existence of their band. Add to that fact that some of the band members were going through some drug addiction problems. Something they were able to solve through rehabilitation.
They currently have three albums: This War is Ours, There’s No Sympathy for the Dead, and Dying is Your Latest Fashion.
The ‘This War is Ours’ album somehow showed the inifluence of other rock or punk bands, namely Guns N Roses and Motley Crue. Also, one of their songs in that album titled “We Won’t Back Down” somehow tells us how much partying and of the good rocking life that they were living out there in the desert of Nevada, particulary in that fun city of Las Vegas.
Two years after their first album, they released Dying is Your Latest Fashion. It was a landmark in the band’s history as they were able to come up with an album even though they have gone through the worst episodes of their band’s history. It was during that time when their lead vocalist was imprisoned and their guitarist walked out on them to join another band. But the departure of their vocalist was a blessing in disguise because at that time Craig Mabbitt was available and when the band approached him, he was willing from the start to join knowing the full potential of their music and act.
Now Escape the Fate continues on its moving forward into the pantheon of the rock music legend. They have stood the test of time, and even the test that they themselves have brought to their band. But they live on and will continue to create great rock music for all.
