How do I cheat a double layer DVD from pausing when it changes layers?

I am working on a 1:48 minute movie and when I write it to a double layer DVD it causes a slight pause where the layers change. Is there a way to fix this problem so that the video doesn’t give that 2 second pause or am I doomed to see this pause?

If your file is so small, then use a single layer.
