The idea of watching the television programmes we want to watch, or listening to a radio broadcast whenever is most convenient to us was, not so long ago, a dream that we might have hoped future technology would make possible.

But best of all is the thought that we no longer need to commit ourselves to making space in our schedules to sit down for anything from a few minutes to a couple of hours and more, to watch a programme. Video recorders were the first step in freeing us from this commitment, but now a DVD recorder takes the ultimate step. And the big bonus is that there’s absolutely no compromise on the quality of a recording, even months or years after they are made.
