strange VHS to DVD conversion problems.?
I went to my university library to a VHS to DVD conversion. I got the DVD and although I can play it with Windows Media Player 10, there is no audio. The same is true when I tried using other DVD players. However when my friend plays it on her Apply Notebook, everything works. So what could be causing this problem. I can ask my school but I got the DVD just before the semester ended and the school is on break till 14 Jan.
Also,I wish to post this DVD to Youtube in 10 mintue segments. How can I break up the file so I can load it to UTube. All I see on the DVD are .VOB, .BUP and .IFO extensions and windows movie maker doesn’t recognize those files. I appreciate any help I can get.
The heads on the VHS are possibly in need of cleaning. Check it out. I would go to a store that sells electronics and ask them what they suggest, usually the know. About the segmentation of the movie I am totally lost on that. I bought a DVD burner and an old VHS VCR at a pawn shop because I did not want to spend the bucks and I do my copies at home for a total of $110. I can also transfer TV to DVD for stuff I want to keep.
