CD/DVD Drive not working in Linux Mint?
I have Linux Mint 10 installed, and this is the first time I have tried to use my DVD drive. Well, it will open, but it won’t spin up, and mint never recognizes the drive. What do I do? I know it still works because I tried it with Ubuntu, and the disk ran just fine.
Also, I have tried multiple disks, so I know it’s not just that one.
Check in your places folder to make sure it not there, but not automatically mounting. If Ubuntu and others saw it there’s no reason Mint wouldn’t. I’d double check the connections maybe it came loose, if it was just installed it happens
