Can anyone give me some info on a 2000 Volkswagen Bora (jetta) wolfsburg edition?

recently got a jetta as my first car. Not really into cars but would like to know more about it. Any info would be helpful. Thx.

Great car if it was maintained properly. That year had issues with defective ignition coils. The 1.8T turbo engine is prone to sludge build up, since 04 VW recommends nothing but synthetic oil to be used to combat this. Change timing belt every 60,000 miles, the water pump has a plastic impeller which can separate from the shaft, if you see your temperature shoot up for no reason, shut it off immediately and replace with a steel impeller water pump. These engines are all aluminum cannot stand to be overheated even briefly.
