in the movie ‘Love Actually’, did Harry (Alan Rickman) cheat on his wife (Emma Thompson)?
It wasn’t clear if Harry physically cheated on his wife Karen with Mia; does anyone know?
k i love that movie so i’ve actually thought this same question and here’s what i think. since the movie is all about love and its many forms i think that perhaps that situation represents the love of a family and how whether or not he physically cheated on his wife or cheated through intentions of a physical act i think its irrelevant because he didn’t LOVE the short haired girl from work, and she didn’t love him. i guess she represents lust, with the scene of her in her underwear, and he gives her an expensive gift. i think lust proves to be weaker than love through their story. but i do think that their story is the second saddest, next to laura linney’s character with the disabled brother who sacrifices a potential love of her life for the love of her brother. oh thats a great movie!
