What is the least expensive vehicle with a DVD entertainment system?
Car, Station Wagon, or SUV ? I am looking for an inexpensive family vehicle that will entertain kids in the back seat.
ANY vehicle. You can have a DVD player installed aftermarket, and it will probably be cheaper than having it come from the factory.
I’m not aware of a lot of cars that have DVD players for the back seat. Simply because it would block the rear-view. An SUV, you sit up higher and actually look kind of down out of the back, so it’s not as much of an issue.
However, it’s probably not wise to buy a cheap car simply because it has a DVD system. If all you need is a DVD player inside of a vehicle, it may be wise to just buy a portable DVD player that a kid can hold on their lap. That way, you can buy a car that isn’t junk and still have a DVD player. Below is a link to Tigerdirect.com, a great online store for electronics. I buy all of my computer parts from there. They have portable DVD players starting at about $85. It will cost you MUCH more to have a DVD player equipped with your car, or to have one installed. Buying a portable DVD player for each kid would only be about $150 per kid, plus they each get to watch whatever movie they want.
