Should we care that Malaysian Islamics are offended at “Evan Almighty”?
I just read the yahoo story that Malaysian islamics are offended at the personnification of God in the movie “Evan Almighty”. Should it matter to anyone that this offends them? Do they realize that they don’t have to watch this movie? (I probably won’t watch it myself).
Don’t they realize that God gave us a brain and the intellect to make desisions? Just because something exists, you needn’t take it in. Why don’t they understand that?
The big question is- Why does anyone even CARE if these people are offended and why does Yahoo deem it nessesary to post the story on it’s homepage?
Thoughtful answers, please.. spouting hate benefits no one.
Who cares about what these Malaysians think. I personally think that many Muslims take these kind of things WAY too seriously and are too easily offended. I’m Muslim too, I practise my religion but I couldn’t care less about these sort of petty things.
