Frame Collectors

I want to scan the front page of a newspaper to hang on the wall.?

In order to keep the paper as a collectors piece, I was going to scan the original on acid free paper and frame that, then hang it on the wall. What is the best way to do this and would a store like Staples or Office Max be able to do it?

It’s a great idea because newspaper is not archival at all.

Unfortunately, in theory, there are copyright issues with what you are trying to do. Staples and Office Max may not want to or be able to do it for you.

I have scanned crumbly old newspapers from the 1800s on my flatbed scanner. I had to put the image through a moire filter to get rid of screening but it worked fairly well.
