Frame Edition
Bought a limited edition Batman animated frame on eBay to replace a broken one. Now this one is broken too!
I asked the seller countless times if it worked. He said it did. Now I get it in the mail today and it doesn’t work. It’s supposed to have Batman, the Joker and Harley Quinn come out from different angles and have an action scene. But NOTHING – It doesn’t work. I called the seller and mentioned their return policy which states “Item must be returned within: 7 Days – Refund will be given as: Money Back

Now the woman on the phone tells me that the owner goes Case by Case, and that he doesn’t abide by that rule they show on their eBay listing. IS THIS ILLEGAL??? They say they aren’t giving me any money back because it worked when it left, but the packaging was HORRIBLE! What should I do???
First question, did you purchase insurance on that package? That would have solved all your woes. If they aren’t abiding by their stated contract on eBay, contact eBay and file a dispute with them. You won’t be able to file any kind of police report, mainly to jurisdictional issues (your “illegal” question), but you can assist in having their eBay abilities suspended by filing a dispute. Plus if you paid by PayPal, you may get your money back that way.
