From London

London To Isle Of Wight
Isle Of Wight is famous for it’s landscape, beautiful seaside and its music festivals. This weekend a lot of people are planning to go to Isle Of Wight festival which starts this weekend for few days. You have to catch a ferry from Portsmouth to get to Isle Of Wight and no sorry they don’t do no luxury cruises that goes to Isle of Wight for all of you posh people, just kidding.
Here is what you have to do to get to Isle of Wight from London? To get to Isle of Wight you have to catch a ferry from Portsmouth now you have to figure out a way to get to Portsmouth. One way is obviously catch a coach to Portsmouth then get a ferry another way to catch a train to Portsmouth and finally you can always drive to Portsmouth. My personal recommendation from my experience in Isle Of Wight I will say take your car to Portsmouth and then take a car ferry to Wight.
This is the easiest way because when you get to Isle of Wight you will definitely need a car for sight seeing as public transport is not as good there. From London when driving take the M25 then exit on M3 towards Southampton you will drive in M3 for 52 miles and then you will need to take M27 exit towards Portsmouth. When you take M27 exit you are about 20 miles away from Portsmouth. Then take A3 which will take you to Portsmouth town centre and then you follow signs to Car Ferry. Take that route which will then bring you in a cue of cars where you will be seen by people working in Wight link to park your car and wait for the ferry of your time. You will be put in a cue for the ferry of your time then when the time comes you will be asked to drive inside the ferry and from then its a 40 minutes journey to Isle of Wight. You don’t have to take silversea cruises or royal Caribbean cruises to visit Isle of Wight. So all in total it will take two and half hours to get to Isle of Wight from London.
