Windows 7 installation on mac with VMware fusion ?

when i insert the disc, after a while it gives me as if i inserted a blank disc and asks what i want to do with it, i open it, it’s empty. but i tried it on a windows computer, it’s not empty, it’s an original windows 7 but VMware is a copy i downloaded with license
anyway, when i open Vmware and select to install a virtual machine, it doesn’t feel it, as if it wasn’t there !!
I have a macbook pro 15″ late 2008 model, doest it read dvd’s ? what could be the problem ?

Your Windows 7 computing experiences will be more satisfying if you install via BootCamp instead of as a virtual machine.
