Grateful Dead
How many different songs do the Grateful Dead have?

I’m listening to the The Grateful Dead Channel on Sirius and it seems focussed on about fifteen songs. I’m wondering how many others they could be playing.

Now that I’m thinking about it, how about some resource to find this information for a bunch of different groups?

“…it seems focused on about fifteen songs. I’m wondering how many others they could be playing.”

Ya know, I completely agree with you!!!!

That’s been my number one complaint with The Grateful Dead Channel. The whole reason I got Sirius was for that channel, and I often feel that they’re not diving deep enough into the Vault.

I should never have to hear the album version of Truckin’. Period. It’s not that special to hear another Estimated>Eyes>Drums>etc. 2nd set from the 70′s. How about more 80′s output? What about some rare acoustic perfomances? How about some JGB on there??

It seems odd that the Band emerged in 1968, defying the counterculture’s extravagant rejections of U.S. culture with literary, often Southern-tinged musical and lyrical vehicles. Hearing this 18-song anthology, with its heavy weighting toward the Canadian quintet’s first three albums–Music from Big Pink (four tunes), The Band (five tunes), and Stage Fright (three tunes)–what still stands out is …
