What do you assume when Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol come together for a movie? Well, maybe an emotional drama about love, loss, family ties with plenty of laughter & tear shedding like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gam but no, that’s not what you get to see on this most current movie. The plot is different, nevertheless slightly similar to what we have already seen in New York or Kurbaan, but tale line was certainly different and possibly a little childish.

The motion picture opens with Shah Rukh claiming, “My name is Khan. And I’m not a terrorist”. So whats inside the movie? A narrative of Rizwan Khan who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome, a form of Autism but he is quite fantastic at studying and remembering issues and brilliant at repairing almost everything! The film begins with Rizwan becoming detained by San Francisco security at the airport, as a co-passenger is suspicious when he’s reciting phrases in Urdu. That’s when he tells the safety officials that he is travelling to Washington DC to meet Mr. President and tell him that however he is often a Khan, but he’s not a terrorist.

He makes several friends, a number of enemies on his way, helps a number of people, scares away a handful of people. A easy tale about world altering their perspective towards the Muslims post 9/11, which was tragic in addition to wrong doing of a couple of choose people, but the whole religious community, had to pay the price!

Performances have been fine, could have been better. She screams a lot in this movie, so beware! No extraordinary performance worthy of ideal actor awards, music is good to listen to. Cinematography was good, 1 scene where they show the rising sun over the city of San Francisco was breathtaking. All and all an okay movie, a single time watch, but if you’re not a Shah Rukh Khan or Kajol fan, you might give it a skip and wait till it comes on the television.
