Hole Dvd
Is it right letting student watch dvd’s on the last week of term?
I’m a geography teacher. I mainly teach year 7s. This last week of term I have just allowed all the students I teach to watch a dvd. I bought the Hole 3d especially for it. It give me time to mark work, and set up new lesson, or just browse the internet. Is this right. My wife doesn’t, and I don’t really. But it a nice easy week.
If youve covered the required material with the class then theres nothing wrong with it.. not all teachers for the last week, as many dont finish teaching the subject matter that early… but they do it normally atleast the last day or two… If you a geography teacher by covering all basis and showing films like dante’s peak, volcano, twister etc… things which might atleast have a loose connection to the subject, this is what science teachers i know tend to do, using the films listed above or things like ‘the island’ etc… but holes could be connected to geography aswell.. but frankly i dont think staff will complain, as long as the kids are learning what they need to do then its ok lol.
