please help make wordy sentences shorter and clearer?

1. some of the detectives who are the good guy and always figure things out so that they are able to solve the problems any detective like Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot and Inspector Morse.

2. Another thing that is always a feature of the detective stories which have the same detective in them is that the detective always has a pal who is a stooge.

Look for repeat words like ‘and’ or ‘always,’ and phrases that are synonymous.
