Japan Import

When a business wants to head east, it should take along a reliable Japan courier
While the days of the ‘Japanese miracle’ are over, the country is still a major target for exporters, and worldwide delivery companies serve the country reliably and efficiently. Japan enjoys excellent business and trade relations with many outside partners, which has resulted in the evolution of good quality international courier services between it and its primary trading partners.
With a healthy, but rapidly ageing, population, Japan is facing the challenge of meeting the needs of its older citizens while relying on the younger members of society to help pay for their upkeep. As a result, many of Japan’s young people are choosing not to have children. This is expected to contribute to a substantial fall in its population, from more than 127million in 2010, to below 100million in 2050.
Excessive speculation, and the bursting of a property price ‘bubble’ in the late 1990s and early years of the 21st century, saw the Japanese economy slow markedly. Nevertheless, by 2009 it was still the world’s second largest economy, and a major industrial power. The country has a huge financial sector, and is also a world leader in industries such as transport, construction and telecommunications. Companies such as Toyota, Honda, Nintendo, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba and Mitsubishi are admired globally, while the country is home to almost one in six of the world’s 2,000 largest companies according to Forbes magazine.
Japan imports large quantities of machinery, fossil fuels, foods, chemicals, textiles and other industrial raw materials. There have been considerable steps taken in recent years to open the country’s markets to outside competition, but massive government debt is greatly restricting major new investment. Whether for business purposes, or to help keep in touch with family and friends still living there, there has been a large increase in demand for dependable and speedy international delivery services to Japan.
As its home-grown business has shrunk, Japan’s biggest companies have increasingly looked abroad to expand their markets, often with considerable success. In sectors such as the motor industry, where its companies have established production facilities abroad, there have been appreciable benefits for domestic businesses which offer associated goods or services. But to be able to take on the challenge of doing business with their Japanese counterparts, companies have had to team up with the world’s foremost express delivery companies, and where this has been successful, excellent results have been achieved.
Businesses can see the benefits when they choose a reliable and efficient international delivery service. These organisations do their utmost to make it easy to send parcel to Japan – no matter what the size or quantity.
