Can faking a relationship with someone cause stress?

I’m making a story and i was just wondering if faking a relationship with someone you hate cause stress on someone? Especially if you have no idea why you are doing it in any way? I know it may sound weird but i kinda wanna know…

Well yes it will cause you to fake something you dont feel and you will regret it in the end ..trust me and and talk it out with the boy/girl your faking this relationship with say something like :’i really dont have feels for you right now, and i dont want to hurt the both of us by faking something i dont feel, so i guess we should be friends right now and see what happens next:). -hope everythings works out
