Lake Placid 3: What happened to the little boy that was feeding the alligators?

I got to the part in the movie where he stole the meat and the mom went and paid for it.. Can someone explain what happened beyond there to the kid. Was he ever killed? I was just wondering mainly what happened from there on with the kid?? Thanks
