If you are speaking of Tony Alamo (pronounced ahLAHmo), he was charged with child abuse in California (for a battery, not sexual conduct), but the charges were eventually dropped due to delay in prosecution and because in the meantime he had been convicted of tax evasion in federal court in Arkansas and sentenced to prison there. I do not believe he has ever been convicted of an offense in California. He still maintains a compound near Saugus (several miles from Lancaster).
