Laserdisc George
Is George Lucas a pompous bleep or just a creative genius?

I got the Star Wars “Limited Edition” DVD’s, with the Original Trilogy. I was sorely disappointed. Not only are the films not in Anamorphic widescreen, but they’re just grainy rips of the 1993 laserdisc versions. As an added insult, we’re forced to buy the “remastered” version along with it. It’s a slap in the face to all the folks who have supported and bought his stuff over the years. Like saying, “Ok you pigs. Since you whined about it, here you go. Craptastic version.” Splat.

A lot of fans like me, who grew up with Star Wars, could care less about George’s artistic “vision.” We want to see the movies we grew up with, not his revised ideas, 20 years after the fact. I mean I respect the creative process and all, but he’s trying to force fans of the film to forget the films they fell in love with. It won’t work. But it hasn’t stopped him from trying.

So, is he a pompous bleep or a creative genius for creating and forcing his new “improved” films on us?

Comments?

actually , hes both. But then you will find that through the history of creative geniuses , they too are “pompous bleeps” lol !…take care…….GR1M
