The youngest Nation on Earth liberated the Capital of perhaps the oldest Nation, Jerusalem, which had been under Muslim rule for 1600 years. In WW1 800 Australian Light Horsemen spearheaded the liberation, it was a victory that Napolean could not achieve ! Nor could the combined European armies of 11 different Crusades. In the Middle East, the Turks held the fortress of Gaza-Beersheeba, an attacking Army had to endure several days through the waterless Sinai desert to even attack Beersheeba ! Unlike Cavalry of the Middle Ages the Light Horsemen rode into Battle to dismount and fight the enemy on foot.
