bluetooth doesn’t work properly on my hp notebook!?

I have a hp laptop with built in bluetooth. My phone connects with the notebook, however, the bluetooth file transfer wizard does not work…when i click for the laptop to recieve a file, it just sticks to that window saying ‘waiting for connection from anotehr computer or device’, even though my phone finds the computer. it connects with the computer, however it does not work with the wizard, instead a little baloon appears at the bottom right taskbar saying something about PIM messages and asks to connect this one time and that’s the only way i can send a file from my phone to my laptop. However i wud rather use the wizard. Does anyone know what to do??

Did you pair the devices? For a smoother transfer and for the devices to identify each other each time you connect them, you might have to pair them and enter a code of your choosing. Also, depending on the file, it may be too big. i’ve had that problem myself and had to resize them
