How can you get old beta-max video onto dvd?

My friend is an ex-pro boxer in the uk ,and has old videos of his fights,would make a nice gift,all help welcome.

yes this can be done.

as long as you have a dvd recorder. As long as BOTH machine have the same connection.

S-video ( picture only ) and phono ( sound ) will be the best connection

ALSO don’t forget to ask your friend what PLAYBACK format his dvd player is, so that you can record on that format.

BEST to use R formated disc, so that the fights cannot be wiped of.
