What Did You Think Of Mickey Rooney As An Asian Man In “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”?
This portrayal of a Japanese-American by Mickey Rooney in make up still gets controversy over 40 years since the movie came out.
Recently Asian-American support groups got the film banned from a public screening in California over this role and people have been calling that all scenes with him in it be taken out of re-releases.

I’ve seen that clip, its definitely bizarre but to censor it? Come on. If we’re going to ban or censor this movie, we need to do the same thing to hundreds of other movies that depict women and other minorities in a bad light. To focus on this one example is absurd.
