Moonlighting Season
when does the second season of Moonlight start? Or is it coming back at all?
Unfortunately Moonlight was cancelled by CBS in May – despite winning ‘Best New Drama’ at the Peoples Choice Awards this year! Apparently it was known as a ‘bubble show’ – i.e. it had a very loyal fan base but the overall ratings weren’t high enough to convince CBS to commission a second season.
There were a lot of petitions and campaigns to get a second season and there was a website dedicated to saving the show – but check out the message that’s on there now:

There were rumours that it might be picked up by the CW but that’s not going to happen – the CW say they’re looking for new shows not ‘recycled’ ones.
There was another rumour about DirecTV – but it seems that was due to misinterpretation by a fan who posted all this stuff about an online poll from DirecTV that wasn’t official at all.
I heard recently that the sets have all been dismantled now so it looks like Moonlight is well and truly cancelled : (
But there’s always True Blood on HBO in September to look forward to for a vampire fix….. ? : )
