My Singing Machine MTV karaoke machine wont play my CDs!
Okay, so, I have been having the hardest time with my karaoke machine. I own The Singing Machine MTV karaoke machine and I want to sell it on ebay but for some odd reason it doesnt play my CD’s. I’m playing the karaoke CD that I was told to buy and I know it works because I have used it before but now it wont even SPIN the CD. It is super frustrating and if anyone has any clue as to what is going on or how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate your response. Thanks a million!

If it is plugged in, powered up etc and it doesnt spin .I would say it’s broke. Electronics are unpredictable.They can work perfectly one minute ,then blow a microchip or something and be instant junk.Un fortunately, no one fixes anything anymore and parts are usually not available. IF there is some hiss or noise in the speaker ,it may need a belt . Finding the person to replace it is the problem,.If you are good at such things,you may be able to order a belt from the manuf. Just make sure that’s the problem. It could be broken, or maybe just slipped off a pulley . DO NOT look into the laser lens while its powered up,and its best to unplug it before you try to take it apart .You could be shocked ,or further damage the unit. IF there is no hiss or noise when it’s turned up, check for a fuse. It is usually a small glass one like older cars use ,but usually smaller. Look first, close to where the AC cord is attached to the circuit board.New one are available at Radio Shack.
