Shrek Starter Kit (Two 3D Glasses & Blu-ray 3D Movie Disc)

This Samsung 3D starter set comes with two pairs of battery-operated 3D glasses, two CR 2025 batteries, two microfiber storage pouches, a box containing Blu-Ray versions of the first three Shrek movies, and a voucher for a 3D Blu-Ray disc for the fourth Shrek movie. Before you buy this starter kit, do the math to make sure you get what you want or will use for the best price.

Samsung SSG-P2100S was a great purchase, the movies are so crisp and lifelike. The glasses work great and I’ve had the pair that has come with the TV Since August and have yet to change the batteries so I know these should last just as long. I just need the industry to release new movies because there are only a few available at this time.

This is a pretty righteous parcel – the furnish of quaternary films is sure improve than the old packages’ inclusion of only a uninominal medium. The glasses work well for me. The retail price is still too expensive, though – so one star off for Samsung gouging a captive audience – even if you get it bundled with a TV, the price is still buried in the final cost of the TV. And if you have more that two audience members, you’ll be buying another pair or two.

The three Shrek BDs come in a 4-pack single-size DVD case. The 4th film’s slot is occupied by a disc-shaped coupon to be redeemed online or by mail – the online process is a bit tedious, but not painful. I just received my Shrek 4 disc. It arrived about two weeks after I requested it online. I believe the 8-12 weeks they quote is a CYA/lawyer thing. In the real world, they seemed to respond and ship quickly.

I haven’t had any problem with the glasses switching off unexpectedly, and haven’t needed the “tape fix” mentioned in a couple of these reviews. I’m not sure why some glasses, like mine, work just fine and others are too sensitive. Perhaps it’s the nature of infrared transmission in a “noisy” environment. I’m glad there’s a workaround found by inventive folk for those that need it.
