Roy Scheider died!!!!?
Awww….I loved him in “Jaws”! Anybody else liked him?
My family was hired on as extras for “Jaws 2″ (Navarre, FL). We were in the scene where he (as Brody) freaks out in the tower and thinks a school of barracudas is a big shark.
Anyway, we got to see Scheider up close as he acted. They brought the top of the shark tower down so he was only about 20-25 feet off the ground. He put those binoculars on, and when the director rolled it, he immediately become someone else; he was frickin’ amazing. The movie screen doesn’t capture it anywhere near what it’s like to see it live. I was super-impressed by him.
Anyhow, my little brother has the entire screen for about 3 seconds. He is the little boy swaying back and forth with the sandwich in the scene I described above.
Being an extra in a film is really cool. 
Needless to say, I am saddened by this.
