Reese Witherspoon Must Have Wished The Paparazzi Didn’t Spot Her In This Outfit!
Reese Witherspoon looks like she must have been wearing her dark glasses when she chose her wardrobe this morning. Really, this outfit just doesn’t work! The purple cashmere scarf, black cardigan dress and black leggings are just dark and unremarkable.

Apparently “She fused black with purple and brown with refinement and ease.” Ease? Yeah, that I can see! It’s pretty easy to throw something together when you’re not looking.
But refinement! Really? I mean please people, just because an outfit is black it doesn’t make it refined. It might be a fashion staple but you’ve got to admit that sometimes it doesn’t work. Like now for example and this just happens to be one of those time. The dull purple of the pashmina simply doesn’t pop against the black of the cardigan dress.
And while we’re on the subject of the cardigan dress, does it really “combine chicness and comfort”? Comfort, ok. Chicness, no! You’re not really going to tell me that anything so shapeless can be called chic.
Maybe Reese was trying to pass incognito through LA’s LAX airport without getting snapped by the paparazzi, so she chose an outfit to make her look totally anonymous…. God forbid she actually thought it looked good. I wouldn’t mind stealing her boots, but the dull black cardigan dress and everything else she’s thrown on are just plain boring.
Reese’s character in Legally Blonde would surely not approve.
Unless you’re shooting the latest teenage vampire movie I’d avoid wearing dark purple scarves with a black outfit!
On a positive note, the Sweet Home Alabama actress is now getting increasingly close to Hollywood agent Jim Toth, who she met at the beginning of 2010. Previously she has been involved with Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal who she met on the set of the movie Rendition in late 2006. She was also married to Ryan Phillippe, who is the father of her two children, Ava and Deacon.
