Takers Movie Review – An Honest, Personal Review Of The New To DVD Movie “Takers”
My wife and I saw Takers on the day of release. We were looking forward to seeing this film since we saw it advertised in the theaters but as usual we waited for it to come to DVD. Here is my honest Takers review.
The film is about a team of bank robbers planning a major heist. There is tons of action and the movie is quite entertaining but the problem is that there is nothing new. Takers is the same as any old cop/robber action flick. The thrills will keep you entertained but the lack of story might make your mind wonder.
I thought the acting was terrible which I wasn’t expecting because I usually like Paul Walker. Chris Brown certainly was not made for the big screen. I also thought the writing was quite bad. I need a story to keep me interested and with Takers, it just wasn’t there.
My wife and I got the privilege to see Takers for free and we are able to offer readers of our reviews the same privilege. You can start watching Takers now >> here.
Takers has a very bland story line but is packed with action, fighting, shooting, fast cars and fire. If you are into that and that alone, you might enjoy this movie. If you are looking for a captivating storyline, I’d skip it.
What’s funny is that my wife absolutely loved the movie (I think she might have a crush on Paul Walker).
So my final Takers Review is 2 Stars!
No story, terrible acting, but the action kind of keeps you watching.
