secret society?

I want to start a secret society at my new school (I start this coming september). How do I start one without looking stupid? how do i get people involved???

You would have to first befriend people who have the values of your proposed organization. Then you break it to them slowly what you want to do. You cannot tell everything at first, since some may defect from your group. So you need some sort of system of rituals and gradual disclosures to test your prospective members and give the information to those who fit your criteria without telling everyone else. You could even include pledges and vows which include horrible things for betraying the trust of the group.
