An Ipod for Everyone, Including the Queen

The American president, Barack Obama has been quite criticized by his our press after he decided to give the Queen an iPod. The gift was given during a meeting held at Buckingham palace. The idea of giving the iPod was that of getting the Queen back some memories from her visit done in the USA a couple of years ago, but also to familiarize her with new policies and ideas of the USA, through the numerous speeches the American president included on the device.

American officials say that the president also includes an audio book by Richard Rodgers in his gift. Clearly, he tried to make everything pretty rare and special, and in return he and his wife got a big framed and signed picture of Elisabeth and Philip. This is, in fact, the usual gift the queen give out when she receives visits.

Because the American president really tried hard to provide a special and priceless gift to the Queen, and he got in return just a simple photo, he must’ve felt pretty bad. Still, he remained happy-looking and no one suspected anything about the uncomfortable situation.

The American press claims this is the second inappropriate present Obama gives. A few weeks ago he gave to another Britain official, Gordon Brown, a set of 25 classic movies on DVD. Nice present, but too bad they were only fit for American video systems and don’t really work well on European players. Let’s only hope that Obama remembered to include an ipod mini AA battery, so that the Queen doesn’t have to go out and buy one herself if she wants to listen to anything on the device.

Even if Barack seems so unconventional and the Queen is the most conservatory person on Earth, it seems that the two were really getting along during the meeting. And British sources reveal interesting news which lets us know that the Queen already had an Ipod, given to her years ago, with classic songs on it. So, after all, the Queen of England isn’t such an un-introduced to technology person, and she actually enjoys finding out once in a while about new releases and such things.
