How do I tip the people at a day spa?

My boyfriend is giving me a day at a spa for my birthday. They only want to be tipped in cash. The total for the day is almost $600.00. I am only going because it is a gift. I can’t afford to go otherwise.
How do I handle tipping all of the people who are going to work on me?

This was a gift, the giver should have taken care of the tip. If that is not the case then simply give one tip to the person who checks you in and instruct that person to divide it amongs those who will be providing services to you that day. They are not new to this and know that you are there to relax, not to play banker. A percentage of the whole amount would be sufficient, I would say no less than $50.00. Then, collect it from your boyfriend, in trade, after you are all fresh and sweet smelling.
