Guys-do you ever slur your words when nervous and talking to girl you like?

This guy slurs his words when he starts talking to me. He doesn’t otherwise or if I talk to him first. Is this a sign of nervousness and why only when he starts talking to me? Why is it slurred and not stuttering or something? What’s happening?
