Best Anime Shows That Are Dubbed

Most anime fans are very picky about the quality of how their favorite shows have been translated from Japanese to English. Anime is short for Japanese animation and these cartoons are usually based of Japanese manga or comic books. Many anime enthusists will swear that anime shows should only be shown in the original Japanese subtitles only. However, some fans like not having to read subtitles while watching their favorite program and sitting back and relaxing. For myself, I can not stand most dubbed anime programs. However, there are several superb dubbed anime programs.

The first recommended anime program that does an excellent job with their dubbing is Cowboy Bebop. The main character, Spike Spiegel, is voiced by actor Steve Blum and he does an excellent job portraying the progtagonist. Blum has also voiced several other popular animes such as El Hazard, Vandread, GTO, and many more. Other characters such as Fey Valentine and Sou are done very well in addition, and the television show is alwasys entertaining.

Another excellently done program is Tenchi Muyo. The voices fit the characters perfectly and match the personas as well. Much of the entertainment involved in Tenchi Muyo is humor, and the voice actors do this to the T. Even though there are only 13 episodes of the original series, this show is highly recommeneded to anyone who enjoys a hilarious anime program.

The third anime that does a fantastic job with their dubbing is Full Metal Alchemist. Vic Mignogna voices the main character Edward and he does a great job capturing the pain and emotion on his troubled journey. Vic does a great job and does plenty of other anime shows including Neon Genesis Evangelion, Xenosaga, Air, and Trinity Blood. Since there are over 50 episodes of the popular show, it must have a quality dubbing job to be a sucess and Full Metal Alchemist does this wonderfully.

Even if you are not a fan of anime that is dubbed in English, you may still enjoy several of the animes listed above as there are done very well. You may want to give dubbed anime programs a second chance, as these shows are done to perfection.
