Than Fiction

Is it normal for Non Fiction to go a lot slower than Fiction?
I was reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown today, and noticed a dramatic difference compared to reading Rough Stone Rolling by Richard Bushman. It’s not that I don’t enjoy reading Non Fiction, but it goes on forever it seems like.
I think it all depends on the material of the book. I’ve blown through some non-fiction novels before, especially auto-biographies. While on the other hand I haven’t even been able to finish some fiction novels.
But generally – fiction is more entertaining than non-fiction. My guess as to why that’s so? The fictional world inhabited by its colorful characters where action, drama, romance, etc. comes in truck loads is more interesting to read than actual life – something we experience daily.
