Is there a coke commercial song archive?

Specifically I’m trying to find this song from a newer coke commercial that I saw in theater this weekend (watching Wallstreet), and the only way I could really describe the song is that there were disc scratches in the background… and it sounded happy…. and it sounded like the band “Starf***er”.

Google the term “coca cola jingles” and you’ll get various websites, including Coke’s, that has samples of their commercial songs or jingles. I have no idea which jingle you are thinking of, but you might find it among these links. You can also type in “Coca Cola Jingle 2010″ (or any specific year). I ‘m afraid I tend to zone out commercials these days so I have no idea which song you are looking for.

Amazon.com actually has a cd on sale that apparently contains a whole bunch of Coca-Cola jingles over the years.

Most coke commercial songs sound happy, or at least upbeat. I don’t think depressing works to encourage people to run out and try your product. :)

Studs Terkel’s Working (Broadway Theatre Archive)

$24.99

Steelworkers, waitresses, and parking garage attendants hardly make the stuff of the traditional Broadway musical. But their voices form the songs and monologues of this plotless paean to the American working stiff, inspired by the bestselling oral history by Studs Terkel. Adapted from the stage production by composer Stephen Schwartz, this 1982 American Playhouse production has a pleasingly…

Alice in Wonderland (Broadway Theatre Archive) [VHS]

$9.99

This gorgeously designed theater production of Lewis Carroll’s world-famous fantasy, based on a famous production from the 1930s, features an astonishing array of notable actors. Richard Burton is quietly touching as the doddering White Knight; Eve Arden spits out commands as the bloodthirsty Queen of Hearts; Donald O’Connor plays the woeful Mock Turtle as a jaunty standup comedian; and such …

The Journey of the Fifth Horse (Broadway Theatre Archive) [VHS]

$3.14

Dustin Hoffman gives an amazing early performance in this drama about the “superfluous” man. Hoffman plays Zoditch, a reader in a publishing house, who has a humiliating job, a squalid apartment, and grandiose fantasies. He is assigned to read the diary of a dead man, whose story begins to weave with Zoditch’s own life. The play makes good use of double casting, as Zoditch imagines people from his…

The Rimers of Eldritch (Broadway Theatre Archive) [VHS]

$4.21

An ensemble cast and deft editing bring this haunting Lanford Wilson piece to life. The Rimers of Eldritch is set in a dying Midwestern town, and in many ways the town itself is the central character. The plot radiates outward from a trial, and the action shifts back and forth in time as we piece together what happened. The scenes are brief, often lasting just long enough to give a quick impressio…
